Default Changing Auto to Manual

about to do a custom swap, but its a 5.3, and we are putting a 5 speed behind it. So don't we have to reprogram the computer for the manual trans? the wiring harness is easy because we can just use the 4.8 with a 5 speed, no problems. but can we do it with LS1Edit, Hptunners, or efilive? or do we have to send it off to have it reprogrammed? thanks in advanced.

PS I did do a search so if I missed something I'm sorry.

EFIlive allows you to do segment swaps so you can make your setup exactly how you want as if it was something that came from the manufacturer to begin with.

So all you do is, open your tune, find another tune with the right trans you want with the same OS system and then hit the transfer segment tab and it will move all the hundreds of tables and the behind the scene tables for you and then the car will think it is now an actual manual trans. Pretty simple to do. I dont believe the other software companys do the segment swaps.
