Question PCM pin# 57 - BAT. POS. VOLT --What does it do?

I pulled my pcm out a while back and the pin# 57 was broken off into the harness but the car seemed to be running ok before i pulled it. Does anyone know what it does?

If it is the orange wire is is likely a retained power memory for the PCM.

Yes it's the orange one, thanks. If it's just a memory wire would it affect the performance of the car?

Yes. The pcm relearns certain things like fuel trims and idle values while the car is running and stores these values once the key is shut off. If the memory power isn't there, the values don't get stored and they have to be relearned every time the car is started. This can cause the car to run worse than it should while these values are learning after everytime.
