Default Changing Converter.

Im going from a 3000 stall back to the stock stall. My car is tuned for the 3000. will going back to the stock stall effect anything?

You'll have to drive it and see if it needs anything, but generally the engine is loaded more at the low RPM with the stock stall.
How much or if you have to change in the tune depends on how much was changed in order to match the bigger stall. It may be nothing, or it may be quite a bit.

If you are currently very finely tuned around the launch and shift-recovery then it may take some work to retune to that level again. This is generally a rare case though. Most tunes out there are very basic.

yea...the tune thats on the car was just a mail order tune. im guessing its a pretty basic tune.

If anything they probably just raised the lock up speeds and turned off some codes. Maybe modified the line pressure. Should be nothing that would every affect driving without the stall.

So my new trans should be fine then?
Im just worried about it messing up my new transsmission.

About the only thing you would benefit is if the lockup points were raised, you MIGHT get slightly better MPG by lowering them to stock. That's IF they were changed. So you're good to go.

sweet. I plan on going with a ss3600, just can't afford it right now.
