98 tuning

Will I have any issues having my 98 (C5) pcm tuned for a supercharger (550+rwhp)?

mine is a 98 but i have n20 and i have no issues with that power level

Yea; I'm at 563 on the spray now, but I wasn't sure how how well the 98 pcm would work with boost

There are many folks running very fast stock 98pcms no doubt. Lots of options open up with a pcm swap. It's a personal decision only you can determine if it is worth it for you.

HPTuners has a 2bar OS for the 98 PCM. If you need to go much past that, I'd recommend a PCM swap.

How would I know if I would need to go past it? I'm not familiar with when 2bar, 3bar OS is needed. I have just read that the 98 PCMs were "limited" in what they could do (and that they were slower)

I actually have HPTuners, but will NOT try to tune a blower set up

I tuned 3 supercharged Vettes in one day, all buddies had the exact same setups, P1SC on Stock Motors sans Headders, All different years. The only difference is that the 98 made about 20 less HP than the 99 & 2000 model. As far as tuning the 98, No problems........

Dont quote me on exact numbers but I do remember that the 98 made 464 RWHP, the other two were around 486 and the 2000 was closer to 500, I believe it was like 492RWHP, There was more, but I do not do ragged edge tuning. These guys wanted their motors to last a while...
