got a gps? try using that to determine your actual speed...

i'd suggest increasing the tire size proportional to the difference of speed:
open up the "speedo" section and make adjustments to your tire size (upper section of the popup window), input the gear ratio the same, keep "Auto Scale Transmission Tables" on "yes" and click on "commit"... this should adjust all your vss pulse, trans rev/mile and transmission tables for you.

my thought is that if your speedo reads 100 when you're going 80mph, you should be able to divide tire size by .8 to get the speedo to read correctly.
since i've never done this, i can't say it will work flawlessly.

also, you will likely have to make small corrections to that tire size a few times to get in dialed in just right. same goes for little corrections here and there that you might have to make in the transmission tables if you notice it shifts earlier/later than you want.

anyone feel free to correct anything i'm missing here.

And it would throw an ABS code too wouldn't it?

Apparently from the information acquired there, you can't calibrate the speedo via the pcm, it can only be calibrated within the cluster itself .

yeah, it would. it should make the odometer turn slower.
i got a little confused with my example above. the car would think you're going slower than you really are.

as far as the abs goes, don't the wheel speed sensors go off each other and work to resolve differing wheel speeds.. so that part of it should be fine.

that is incorrect because i have a pcm that is locked that when used the speedo is correct and now with the other pcm it is not correct. there has got to be a calculation someweres to be fixed.

is your speedo and odometer correct using the other pcm? If so, I'd like to take a look at it, if that's an option.

sure sounds good, ryan212@aol.com

if you can read the file, but not display it, the pcm is not really locked, I'll bet they hacked the OS identifier to fool others from knowing what definition to load.

Thanks,

Ryan
