Default another bad trans or electrical?

00 ss w/texas speed 408 yank ss4000. put together with trans(60e) built for nos. car would not shift properly and eats alternators. sometimes charges sometimes doesnt. latest alternator is from dealer,w/same symptoms.pulled trans after 200mi and sent back to builder.
He claims trans was right when it left his shop the first time but re-built for free to save face. after re-install with fresh converter and flushed trans cooler it "chatters" on moderate acceleration in low gear and slips on moderate acceleration in upper gears.
Any one find electrical probs causing this? Ran w/tech 2 hooked up and data looks ok. no codes, shows trans shifting properly. only have 7mi. on new trans and converter. Afraid to ruin another trans.

unhooked the harness to the trans and tried a 2nd gear roll on. seemed ok so hopefully it's in the tune.

also ate another alternator today. tech2 had been showing l-terminal active with varying voltage then voltage wint to 10vdc and l-terminal shows active/inactive switching back and forth as fast as tech2 display will allow 3-4 times per second.
Thoughts oppinions ideas?

checked harness that runs across fans to battery/heavy gauge wires. pulled wires from the loom and they looked ok. when alt does charge it only reaches 12.5 or so mostly sometimes charges over 13.5 but never over 14.

CHECK YOUR GROUNDS!! 90% or better of electrical problems are due to bad grounds. You can do a voltage drop on each of them with a simple multi meter. Put in DC voltage mode and put one lead on the stud or bolt and one lead on the wire crimp end. Should be less then 100-150ma. Alot of the grounds start to corrode inside the terminal and you can't see this visually. CHECK THEM! Good luck.

Looked at the Alldata for my 6.0/Hummer engine. There are 2 wires to the alt, from the PCM. 1 is for the light, and the other is the exciter circuit.
If that circuit has insufficient power, will that cause the low charge rate?? [Not sure about this]
Has this been checked? My engine is not running, but I have an 07 truck, and can check to see what voltage is on the circuit..
