Hey guys, I have an older Palm PDA which has a serial HotSync cable to match up to a Palm based Auto-Tap style scanning tool, but I am in the market for a new PDA and most on the market now have a USB based HotSync cable with them. So........I was wondering if anyone makes a USB to Serial adapter so I could use a new USB PDA with my scan tool?
If you know of one please list the Brand Name and or the part number, or a website I could visit in search of finding such and animal.
Thanks!

The problem is that USB is not a host to host bus. Both the palm and the serial adapter would be devices on the bus, and with no host it simply wouldnt work.
You need to find a serial cable for it.

Thanks for the reply........So I guess a Sony Clie os out of the question........But I think most Palms have the option for a serial cable.........The search continues.
is it an rs232?? aka 9 pin serial? If so, Belkin, Keyspan, Aten and Iogear sell. I sell all this kind of crap, so if you need let me know.
