Default how to know if your pCM is going bad?

Hi all,
well I disabled my VATS with my CATS and I also disable the VATS diagnostic, error 46 in the ECM switch table.
well yesturday my security light came on and stayed on for about 5 min then went off, well this morning I was going to upload another program "playing around with my timing" but it didn't see myPCM so I retryed it and it worked but then I wanted to do some logging but it couldn't recognize my pcm ?
I tryed a few times checked my wires and same thing so I did not do any logging and off to work, but after work I tryed to start it and nothing the securtiy light is flashing and thats it?

what do you guys think it might be

thanks

you cant fully delete vats through the pcm. if you want it gone you have to use a resistor in the ignition wires to bypass it.

Lightbulb

Sounds like the ignition switch on your steering column is malfunctioning or the chip in your key has malfunctioned.

Either way, your car thinks a key other than the correct one is trying to start or STEAL the car.

Replace the key at the dealer. If the security light returns you'll have to replace the switch. After that I'm out of clues.

One other thing to consider: The BCM is what holds the "value" for the VATS, IIRC. Might have a BCM going bad. Personally, I would wire in the correct resistor value that the key has, and see if that fixes it.
