Like I said the lag is not huge and I don't have a problem going WOT and getting accurate data. But like I also mentioned. The Delta TP Filter is there to ignore those quick changes so that the data doesn't get populated in the wrong cell. You also don't have MAP cells show until they hit a set amount of times. That in itself is a very good filter. Hell If you really wanted to be picky you could add a Delta MAP and Delta RPM filter too, but I don't believe its necessary. There is plenty of scope to get as accurate data as you deem in the Scan Tool.. You just have to set it up once and let it do its thing.
