Default no start after heads/cam/intake install

i just finished installing etp heads/fast intake and a streetsweeper cam. It currently does not start and i feel it is because the car had an old tune on it with a t-rex cam. i checked everything else that i could think of mechanically and electronically. so my question is do you guys think the old tune could be a possibility for the no start?

Its something else... It should at least start up. Whats it doing?

I went from sotck to Dart heads/90-90/X3 cam and it started on stock tune.

i had the same problem after an install similar to yours, check on the drivers side head on the back, there are 2 or 3 ground wires that are attached by a bolt going into the head...it made my car crank for days before i realized it, hooked up the grounds and it fired right up...amazing what a couple ground wires will do!! let me know if this helps, if not i might have some other things to check!!!

a reason why i'm thinking it was the tune is because i got it tuned with that cam about 4 years ago. Since then i added a few bolt-ons and took some emission stuff off of it. Last year i added a ported throttle body and it ran like crap, the car would shut off after wot runs and when i started it i would have to feather the gas to keep it idleing. The tune was good when i first got it but i never got it retuned after i did more mods to it so......???

I guess its a possibility, but it seems the way it was and what you switched it should still start up at least...

The reason I was asking about the backfiring was becuase when I finally had mine back up and ready to fire, it would backfire like crazy.

I had my coil harness flipped but it was backfing as soon as I cranked it... You said yours started to backfire sometime after its been cranked for awhile so I dont think its that.

Check your Cam and crank postion sensors and make sure they are connected. A lot of people miss the crank sensor because it is behind the starter and you have to take it off to check it.

Thats exactly why I ask about codes. Im throwing a camshaft code and alot of times it take 4 or 5 times crankin on it to get it to start now and it likes to backfire when I stop cranking.
