hypter tech tuning- how to?
so i just purchased a hypertech PP III for my 98 z (in process of purchasing to be accurate)
i have a custom dyno tune from a yr or two back with minor mods since and a 12 bolt with 4.11s
i plan on using the tuner to change my speedo for the new gears, but is there any other use ill have for this thing?

will it at least read codes if i get them? better yet read codes on other cars that its not locked into?
will it even be locked onto my car if all im doing is speedo calibration?

No, it will not read codes, and will only operate on one vehicle at a time. So, if you use it on your vehicle, it is useless on all other vehicles until you unlock it on yours.
It will adjust the speedo for different gears and tires. It can change your shift points and rev limiter, as well as your top speed.
For a tune, it is useless. (I had one, so I speak from experience.)
If you already have a tune installed, I strongly suggest that you seek another route.
