Default moates question

Does the moates PCM allow a tuner to see the cell the car is operating in and change it on the fly like a DFI or Big Stuff? If so, I am going to get one. I have EFI live right now, and I bet this will reduce some time reflashing the PCM often.

Your EFIlive shows the cell your in, in your map. You'll see the same thing with the RR. The only difference is the ability to make changes on the fly.

They have an auto tune feature now that allows you to use the wideband input to automatically tune the VE or MAF tables. I've never used it but have read about it. Sounds pretty slick.

There's plenty of info on their forum.

yes, you need that license to talk to the roadrunner, it is different than a vehicle flash license.

I will second that, the ability to change something in real time and see what the effects are going to be helped me greatly figure out what alot of the settings/parameters do!!!

The reason for the seperate road runner license via efilive, is simply because you can use the road runner on ANY vehicle of that ecm type and so for tuners, it is nice because you get a car, pull out the stock ecm, put in the roadrunner, and then tune. After you are done tuning the customers car, then you pull out the roadrunner, put the stock one back in and flash in your final tune.

It is a huge timesaver. Especially if you use all the autotuning maps we have set up.

agreed, the roadrunner is great, I have 2, 1 98 and 1 99-02 and I've used them in several vehicles.
