Default Dyno tune after headers?

Should I get a dyno tune after my headers are installed? Will it hurt the engine if I don't do this? Also if I get a dyno tune is there any real point of getting a hypertech or diablo programmer?

do not get a hypertech or diablo.... they suck ***.... if you buy anything get hp tuners or efi live. getting a dyno tune will give you more horse power, but it wont hurt if you dont do it. headers allow you to up the timing a bit..

headers will definately throw your air fuel off, but not enough to hurt the car.

you will def. gain more power and make better use of the headers with a tune.

if I were tuning a car that had headers only (with a CAI or something like that) I wouldnt charge 450.00

300.00 tops for a tune with only a couple of mods like that.

Yeah, $450 for a bolt on tune is BS, I charge about half that at my shop, and there are good mail order tunes out there also. A tune by itself my not be necessary, but it does get the most out of the $ you have already spent for parts.

Would headers on a stock tune car make it run richer or leaner?
