Huge hesitation down low after MAF hooked up?

Huge hesitation down low after MAF hooked up? My MAF hasn't been working on my car. I FINALLY figured out the issue yesterday and now that it works..with the basemap at idle/low rpms I have a HUGE hesitation. Its only down low though. Ill hit the gas and it will hesitate literally a full second or more then it goes..once im above 3k theres 0 hesitation.
