Default downloads for LS1 edit

Is there any where I can down load a stock program for my car. I bought it tuned by someone who is no longer around. I bought another lic from LS1 EDIT and can't find any stock files. They died on my old cpu.

there once was a site where several LS1edit files were uploaded.
I saved a couple of them on my harddisk, but the drive went south and all the data that was stored on it.
Since then I've never seen that website again, I also asked here, someone said they had to shut down the website due to copyright or whatever.
I'm also in need of some files, just to compare them with my tune.
Please let me know if you find something.

I probably have a stock 2000 f-body ls1edit file, I'll have to check when I get home. Been a long time since I even fired that up.

Sure and thanks. Does anyone have a stock 01-02 A4 file?

Just use the handbrake. LS1 Edit appears to be nothing but an expensive wheel chock these days compared to the better supported tuning suites out there.

CubanGT:
carputing.com for LS1EDIT (to read /change tune/reflash PCM)

You will need autotap or some thing to log with(you must know what your car is doing before you start changing your tune)
I like/use LS1EDIT

you may ALSO like to look at "EFI Live or HP Tuners"
good luck, Johnny

But some of us early adopters are stuck with it.

Sucks trying to find info anymore though. It's becoming nearly impossible since it's so outdated.

Why are you stuck with it? That's like saying I'm stuck with using the same cell phone I bought in 2003.

I'm not paying hundreds more when I have something that works. Your cell phone analogy would apply if cell phones were $800-1000, not free or less than $100 or so.

That's fine if your tinkering with a bolt-on car... but if you have a cam/heads car and want a real tune that will give great driveability, good gas mileage, or have forced induction and want 2 bar - you need real tuning software...

Really? Because I've seen H/C and boosted cars get tuned just fine with edit. Sure it's old but it still DOES work.

That's debatable.

Okay... I'm not gonna debate with a holdout... keep your edit and your pentium 386 laptop!

But one question - if LS1Edit is so great and user friendly - and you have the license for it - why do you need a stock file? Just pull the tune out of the car and tune away...
