Default Tuning Help Please

I put heads and a cam in my car, along with other supporting stuff like injectors and pump, things like that, and have had in tuned by two different people, the most recent being Jeff Creech at Carolina Auto Masters. I will not idle, smells so rich it burns your eyes, and runs terrible, it gets walked by stock ws6s. I dont know where to start really, does anyone have any suggestions on what i should do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Was it just a WOT tune? With heads cam you probably need a lot work on your ve and idle tables. Most tuners won't really touch those in a normal dyno tune.

well... Id start by checking your injector flow rates.

Well, if you changed injectors, then your going to need to get a new injector table... That link I sent you gives you the right injector flow rates. Alls you have to do it give it the right info on what injectors you have, and PSI you run at.

If you IFR (injector flow rate) is off, then your just chasing your tail.

The way to fix that is more reading, less posting. There are very well-written posts here and on the HPTuners forum which will get you moving in the right direction.

If Creech tuned it and it's not running right, I'd call him and schedule a visit. He has a reputation for standing behind his work.

Why pay for a tune and then come on here complaining how it doesn't run right. If you have no idea how to do it yourself, take it back to the tuner and make them fix it. You paid for a tune, get it done right.

Well in that case, buy a wideband O2 sensor and like the other guy said, start reading over on the HP tuners site. People over there are usually pretty helpful as long as you are actually trying to learn how to tune and you don't expect everyone to do it for you.

Just curious but why would you spend $650 on software and then still have to pay someone else to tune it anyways. Or did it just come with the car?
