Default Sticky Idle?

I have an 01 SS, completely stock minus plug wires, harmonic balancer, lid and catback. If I give the car a little gas to just move forward an inch and push the clutch back in it will rev up to 2k and hang there for about 3-4 seconds and then finally come back down to idle at 700 or so.

It does the same thing if im coming up to a light or stop sign and I just throw the car in neutral, it will hang at around 2k and then wont go back to idle until ive come to a stop for a second or two. Ive cleaned the TB and IAC thouroughly, any other suggestions of what it might be?

Probably a vacuum (air) leak, that has offset the
airflow at low throttle. I'd check the PCV hoses to
start, some soft bits age badly.

Almost sounds like an issue with the throttle follower tables but if theres never been a calibration change theres no reason they should be affecting it. Just for the heck of it have you tried disconnecting the battery?
