Default is my tune bad?

i have this posted in the auto trans forum but thought i should post it over here to, hopefully someone can help me out because i dont know what to do next.

i had my z out on test n tune and the first pass it left like a bat out of hellit went 13:70 with my foot slipping off the gas and it popping on the shifts. the next pass when i left it went flat at the gate and picked up the rpms till it shifted to 3rd and then it fell to 3,000 rpms and acted like i had cruise control on for a second then it picked up the rpms. the problem im having i dont know if it's the trans or may be the tune. i think its the trans because if i launch in 2nd gear then throw it into 3rd it's a differnet car. but when i just leave it in o/d it will leave good but it falls on its face on the 2-3 shift then picks up the rpms. i leave traction control off on all my passes but i still get a low trac light when i go down the 1/4 mile.

i had it back at the track today and went 14.01 just by shifting it myself, compared to keeping it in o/d i went 17.64. it has new 02's but i dont have a computer to put it on, unless the hand scanners autozone sells would work. its a new motor but the quickest it went was 13:70 wednesday night, last season with stock cam it went 12:90, so im lost with the car it was mail tuned for the fm-14 and it runs great on the street but the moment it touches the track it doesnt want to go. each pass in the car is completely differnet, i have no idea of what to dail the car in at because it jumps all around in the times. i launched it acouple times and it went right from low into 3rd gear at the line, my buddy put it on his scanner and couldnt find any codes except for the 02's heaters not working, but i replaced both 02's.

the crank was turned .10 over, forged rods and pistons, fm-14 cam on 114 lsa, stock ls1 intake t/b (till nov), 3600 yank stall, built 4L60e, 10 bolt with 4.10 gears, chassie mount umi torque arm, rear 02 sims, p/s LT hedders, stock 98 heads with 918 springs, melling high flow oil pump, ls2 timing chain, it has a dyno tuned dry kit in it but it is not ready to spray. it was mail order tuned for everything but the nitrous.

bill @ custom ls1 tuning in columbus, ohio did the mail tunning for me.

Your O2's won't cause the car to run like that. Have you contacted the guy that did your tune? Your transmission tables would have to be pretty screwed up to make the car act that crazy. It's hard to give you advice, because there's no way for you to log or tune the car and your tuner isn't close enough to log the car, either. Is there anyone in the area that could help you? You need to be able to see what the car is doing.

Yes running open headers all the time isnt very smart. Is there any reason you do this?

i like the sound, nothings better then open headers and a cam. i know alot of the local police so they dont mess with me when i have the car out. i did a internship last semster with the state police too.
should i put a exhaust system on it? i have a x-pipe in the garage just have to get some pipes and i should be able to have it hanged in about 2hours.

So did you ask for an open tune from Bill? That's the only way to ride around with open headers.

You will find that even with 2 feet of pipe you may have some here and there issues unless you run OL.

i wanted to let everyone know after the dyno tune, that the tune bill did for me by mail was spot on. i've been working 12hr shifts and have been will beaten down when i get a chance to post but i wanted to clear this up. bill did a great job tuning the car, and my dad's friend who built the motor scanned the car and changed something but never told me just my dad and he forgot what he changed but to the point the mail tune was perfect. the problem with the car was the spark plug wires, 3 were laying on the headers and burnt the wires a little. he changed the wires off my camaro with his wires off his 2010 camaro and everything was good. i was at work while my dad had it tuned for me, but they didnt have to touch anything bill did.

bill i'm sorry that i didn't clear up this thread from the start it just got away from me with everything going on right now.
