Opinions on mail order til I can get a dyno tune
I'm in the process of buying the parts for my MS3 and PRC 5.3l stg 2.5 h/c combo. There aren't any dyno shops within about 200 miles of here and i want to install it myself to save the money, and I would rather not trailer it. Question is, how safe would it be to get a mail order tune and drive it to one of these dynos a little bit later?

Well I helped a friend install a used set of Patriot heads and a G5X3 cam. He did his tune with pcmforless. The car fired right up, idled well and had no bucking or surging. perfectly drivable. He ran low 11's at the track with an M6 and full weight ('99 Z28). There are no tuners where I live so I'll be doing the same thing when I install my h/c in a few weeks.

That's part of having a huge cam. One of the many reasons mine is a 222/224. But I would have no hesitation of going with pcmforless. If the tune needs to be tweaked you can overnight them the pcm.
