Default o2 sensors, Bosch 13111..........

Tried the search but did not come up with a definitive answer.........
2002 SS with QTP LT's, going to replace the two front o2 sensors (no rears, tuned out) Should I go with the Corvette 13111 Bosch or the AC Delco's with extensions..............and who has the best prices...........tried some of our sponsers but did not see any o2's listed on any of their sites.
Thanx

Go with the Bosch 13111 sensors all the way. They have a hotter element and won't require extensions. My favorite F-body O2 sensor.

Bosch are complete JUNK.....for my car anyway. They do not work. Don't ask me why. I know a handful of people that have the same issues with them....junk. I had a bad 02 sensor a few years back and bought two new Boschs from Advance Auto to throw in. Put them in and the engine would hardly run. I said screw it and went to a dealer and just paid for the GM ones. Drove back to the shop where my car was sitting and installed them, bam...perfect. Took the Boschs back to Advance and got my money back.

Densos are the best. $45.00 www.rockauto.com

Densos are now the 02 sensors that GM uses in place of its AC Delco sensors. If you buy AC Delcos from the dealership or any parts place you will get the AC Delco boxes but they will have Densos inside. Happened to me in January. They charge double. Just get Densos and pay half price.

Bosch invented the lambda sensor on 1976, and has been continuously enhancing it ever since. The market leader in automotive original equipment and aftermarket products has to date produced over 400 million sensors.

In view of the low emission levels which this technology brought, it was quickly clear that the lambda sensor would be a winner: 10 years after its debut, Bosch was celebrating delivery of the 10 millionth lambda sensor. Nowadays 33 million units a year roll off the Bosch production lines.

Good luck getting any O2 sensors to work for very long with your LT's. I would get extensions and stick with your stockers. Mine worked ok for a while that way, only throwing occasional codes.

After the codes got more frequent, I tried Bosch and Denso and they both threw codes constantly. Finally I got rid of them altogether and tuned my car to run full-time open loop.

I wouldn't invest a lot of money in O2 sensors. You're likely to just end up frustrated. There have been many threads about this. In many cases they won't work properly with LT headers.
