AEM WB readout in HPT The readout for my AEM WB has always been a kind of jagged line. I imported a log into Excel & smoothed the raw data with a 10per moving average:
This is 3rd gear from a 10.23/130mph pass. Should I worry about the spikes & dips or should I go with my instinct that it's basically fat?

hey,, i have the aem uego too, and mine is the same, not smooth, i dont know why, probley something to do with how fast the wb is spitting singnals to the EIO. how do you do the 'smoothing' in excel?

I glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. To smooth the line you need to export the log to Excel, you'll get everything. Delete all the columns except RPM & WB. Highlight the WB column, "Insert" a chart, choose 2D line chart. Once you have that, right click on the jagged line in your chart & you will have the option "add a trendline". I use the moving average, you can select how many periods (data points) to average, the more you use the smoother the line. 6-10 seems to give a fairly realistic picture.

AEM & HPT logs got me thru 250 passes at 7psi on the original LS1 motor, I suspect the nice smooth readouts you see from a Dynojet or Mustang are automatically averaged.
