So lately I've been having hell with the car not wanting to run on start up, and sometimes just deciding to not want to idle when put into park.

I noticed today when I started it cold (well its in the 70s outside) it was trying to idle at 750 instead of the 1100 I have cold start set at. I think this is a big part of the issues I've been having or at least a clue as to what is causing them.

What triggers a cold start besides coolant temp? What would cause the engine to want to ignore the higher idle setting?

any ideas on this?

I'm going to be taking the car for a dyno tune this month if i can get a spot at XP after the stall goes in, but sometimes it doesnt do it so I'd like to have an idea before hand

after the car has set all night take the scantool you have and look at the coolant temp sensor and the intake air temp sensor. they should be within 1 degree of each other.
