It looks like the only real difference is the black box. If you can connet seperate sensors to standard just like pro, then I don't see the need to upgrade.

You CAN NOT connect extra sensors directly to the standard as you can with the pro. It has no input on the box. Like posted above, you have to go through a factory sensor input like the EGR and then convert them in the program to wire in devises like a WB O2.

Yah that's what I was getting at. Since there's a way to make the standard read WB, i think that would cost less money than upgrading, that is if you don't need to upgrade. And personally I don't wanna spend the extra money to upgrade now since I've found out a way to get around it

It's not a workaround... going through the PCM and back out usually causes non-linear offsets that skew logged data making it worthless. Additionally, since you have redefined AFR in such a way for your setup, you cannot post or share logs with AFR data and have it remain interpretable to others.

If it makes the data worthless that why are people doing this? So your saying if i log with the WB pid in standard, my logs won't be worth anything because they'll be screwed up?

I said USUALLY. Much of it is up to the technical inclination of the user.

add standalone datalogging(no laptop needed in vehicle to datalog) which in itself is worth the extra $ to most.

Worth every penny to upgrade/buy the pro version. You will at some point be saying "i Wish".

Like now for me "I Wish" I would have upgraded my Serial Interface when i had the chance.
