Default Converting from A4 to M6 tune

I've done a complete motor and tranny swap, using a 99 pcm which turned out to be for an A4 and I also installed the 1 bar OS in it. Is there a way to use one of the tunes in the HP tuners repository and change the VIN so that I have a full M6 tune?

Don't worry about the vin, just copy and paste all the differences between the tunes.

Copied all the differences from an M6 file but still my reverse lockout was not getting signal from the pcm. I performed a complete write using the M6 base and now it is working as intended.
A complete tune is needed in case of swap.

Did you find a way to just change the vin?

That won't work... You have to reflash the PCM with an M6 file (write entire). There are a ton of parameters that we cannot get to with any tuning suite.

I see. I thought I remembered trying to do that for some reason when I first got my software and it wouldn't accept it due to the vin or something, it's been so long I don't remember exactly what my issue was. Thanks for clearing it up.
