knock sensors problems
I have a 99 T/A that keeps throwing a code for low voltage of front knock sensor. I have replaced both knock sensors and and the wires from the wiring harness to the knock sensors.. the light is intermitant, but it will inevtiably always come back on and when it does the car runs like hell. is there anyway that we can just get rid of them?

The car has a MS4 cam with the supporting valve train, 90mm all the way w/ a fast 90 intake. Also have a LNC-001 we tried disconnecting the two step and it made no difference. the car has a batt shut off so when the check engine comes on we turn the car off for a bit and it goes away, but it always comes back on. this motor has 110,000 miles on it and we have a 150 wet shot, so if there is a knock in the motor oh well. it will just be time for a new motor. we have tried everything short of replacing the entire wiring harness. and yes we are running premium(91) oklahoma sucks.. But the light that is coming on is saying that there is low voltage to the knock sensor(s), so we don't think that there is actually a knock, but when the light is on the we think it is retarding the timing causing the car to run all stupid. the car has 32- 34 degrees advanced on the tune normally.

I have the same problem as well, ever since I switched my LS1 intake to LS6 style. I got the code. I haven't had the chance to replace both of the knock sensors and check the connections however when I scan my car WOT/idle/normal driving I'm not getting any knock. For temp fix at least, I turned off that code for the time being until I track it down to where it causing this to come on.
