i have a hpt cos in my truck now,has a olsd tune. my buddy that tuned it has since lost his software,how crazy is that lol. im thinking of buying efi live, i know i wont be able to just write over the hpt cos, but i was wondering if i do a full write will that work. my buddy didnt lock the tune.what are my options?

A custom OS also locks the PCM. It's not a lock in the sense that only the original tuner can read read it, but it's a lock in the sense that only HPTuner's can. You will have to have it restored by HPTuner's software or other means that are similar to dealing with a locked PCM.
