shoot Ken an email. You will want to remove the older version. Easy to do, just make sure you save your tunes in separate folder. When I installed this on my PC, the old one kept getting in the way....

You really should contact Ken Kelly (pcmdoc@surfree.com) regarding the updates.

I am sure there are updates, like mine that does not require older versoin. If not, then I wouldnt have been able to install it since I removed the older one. Contact Ken and he will have the update and information readily available. Just asking not trying to infringe on anyones rights here.

Charlie.

But if it is an unlicensed software, is there a problem? Just asking not trying to infringe on anyones rights here.

But it is licensed - by Ken Kelly, the programmer. The updates cost money - they are not free, nor freely distributable. If Ken gave you the okay to send them out than that would be fine, but he probably won't do that since that is a service he normally charges for.

Also remember that your vin is a pretty good unique identifier, and is probably in the software, so it's pretty easy for him to track down the source of a particular copy.

And thats why I asked before. Thank you for clearing that up. I was thinking it may have been like some other software, where the software is free but its the cable that cost $$$. Thanks again Chris. Am deleting abvoe referenced post.
