Anyone ran into this starting problem before (car sitting for 2 year)? Car specs in sig. I last tuned (final tune) my car into MAF mode in summer 2008. I put the car into storage fall of 2008, started it a few times (never drove) it in spring 2009, then stored until now.
With the final tune the car always started/ran/idled perfectly, everytime. Even last spring when a started it a few times it was perfect. Now that I am bringin the car back to life it has trouble starting. 1 out of every 6 to 8 starts it will catch after it fires and idle perfect as before. The other times it fires, catches, and dies. I have to give it gas to about 1400 RPMS and hold it there until it goes into closed loop mode.
The only thing I could think of is old gas but the first tank is gone and it still happens. Plus, once it gets into closed loop it runs like a top!
Also, it only happens at cold starts. Once its warm it always starts correctly.
Anyone run into this after storage? Weird.
