Question First I had a P0135 code, changed the O2 and now I have a P0171??

Hey guys, I had a P0135 code in the Z so I bought a new Bosch O2 sensor and just swapped it out 30 mins ago. Cleared the code and went for a 5-10 min drive around the neighborhood.

During lower RPM cruising it kinda spudders, but at idle and during accel everything seemed fine. Came back home and I have a P0171 code now that I've never had before.

Ideas?

Thanks!!

This. A dirty maf can throw O2 codes.

I plan on doing all of those today, but what are the odds have P0171 code now, never before, right after replacing the drivers side O2 because it was causing the code P0135 to throw.

If it were the MAF, I should be getting codes for both banks, correct?

Okay, cleaned the MAF, checked for vacuum leaks using both parts cleaner and the smoke method, no dice.

It gets better, I cleared the codes, then I went for drive. Still runs like ****, rechecked the codes and now my P0135 code is back along with P0171....

Faulty O2?

Okay, swapped back to the old O2 and it runs like a champ again, except the P0135 code is back, but the P0171 code is gone....

Sounds like connections/wiring issue... problem like that can be hard to find. Check the wiring and connections over really good for that side.
