Default Running cool, is this a problem

Yesterday I took my truck on a 200+ mile drive (first real trip in the 68 w/5.3L)

Anyways, while on the freeway it ran right at 165 degrees the whole time. I was not logging anything and it was running great. I was watching my gas guage, and I was probably getting about 20mpg, but I got to thinking.

Is the engine running too cool? Would it run a little leaner (aka better gas mileage) if it was tuned for this cool? Right now, the engine is internally stock, and the ECM is stock (except for deleting the emissions crap and VATS)

thats a great temp to be running at. it can be tuned for better/worse gas mileage regardless of the engine temp. but thats def a good temp to be running at.

that is a good temp. not too cold so that the contaminants in the engine oil are not burned off and not too hot for the oil to break down
