What do you need me to send? A copy of the .hpt file? My car isn't even on my top 10 list of priorities at the moment. Many other things in life come first.

Everyone out there will screw you over if you let them. If you don't think so, I've got a bridge to sell you.

They've managed to mess up 50% of my order. I ordered 6 parts. I've taken that issue up with them. And I would have expected slightly more from one of the premier tuners on LS1tech, that uses HP Tuners day in and out. They should have some knowledge of the products they sell and use on a daily basis. It's called customer service after the sale.

I highly doubt that it has a Custom OS. It's possibly been tuned before, as there is 152k miles on the engine, and I'm not the original owner.

This is the best idea yet.
Quite possibly it's been tuned before. Like I said above, it's not outside the realm of reason, and I'm not the original purchaser of the car.

It isn't your top priority but you've spent more time arguing in here than it would have taken to send the files to the right people.

I'm glad you feel that way. Remind me not to buy anything from you.

Well, in that case.

You highly doubt it? All you have to do is look. It's not uncommon for tunershops to load an Enhanced OS whether you want it or not, in order to use RTT and make there job easier. I've had something similar happen to me, I went to tune a car, I licensed it after reading it, then I went to flash the tune back in it and it asked me to license the Enhanced OS too.

Another one of HP tuner's great features. Maybe EFI Live will get smart and add this feature, so they can get some more money, from the extra credits, that they'd sell.

VCM Suite infolog while connected to the vehicle in question, should, be enough to figure things out.

Or HPTuners could just charge more to begin with like EFIlive.

It might help if you tell him how to save this info (or at least send him a help link)
Unlike you and lot of others, he's new at doing this
Without help from guys like you, doing this can be very frustrating, for the beginners

You get what you pay for and I see you went for cheap
Depending on what you're doing HP isn't always the cheap way out

I'm not trying to rip anyone off. I just asked a simple question and this thread spiraled out of control.

Ok, so I'm gonna assume I'm stuck with it. Which is cool. What can I do with it since I already paid for it?

In my case I had unlimited 99 licenses, so I just copied the parameters and VIN over to a different file and wrote over the enhanced one.

Not sure if someone with unlimited enhancements can undone yours and repost it. That would be nice.

Either that or if you could find out who tuned it previously and just have them email you the stock file.

No clue who previously tuned it. It was out of a wrecked car.

Since you already spent 4 credits, you might as well take advantage of it...you can now real time tune that car, OR you can convert it to ANY of the other custom OS's such as 1 bar speed density with RTT, or if you ever put a blower or turbo on, you can go to 2 or 3 bar in that car...all at no more hptuners cost to you...you going to forgive HPTuners for doing nothing wrong now?...it's absolutely not their fault that the car was previously tuned with an enhanced OS, and their software worked EXACTLY how their licensing system says it will work.
