Check amazon, the prices on these fluctuate from time to time, sometimes by a few hundred bucks.
I've searched but so far haven't found an answer for this - Is the MAT on the Holley harness the same as IAT? If so can I just wire my old IAT sensor into the holley harness? Using the 5 wire truck maf/ iat combo.

The MSD Atomic is more for a hod rod swapping to a simple EFI set up. More money, no boost or nitrous controller and having to set it all up through a small hand held I'd look elsewhere.

I have a friend who has played with it....
he says the Holley is a Lot better than the MSD Atomic.

the MSD has its place, but the Holley can do everything the MSD can do and more....

What if you are wanting to run a 4l80e behind it? That is a pretty big price jump for the dominator and all the harnesses. Wouldnt you still need the ecu and hptuners or some software to control the trany if running the hp?

couple of good options for transmission controllers if you are using an HP ECU

using a Holley in conjunction with a stock ECU, is not one of them...the stock ECU doesnt work as a stand alone trans controller no matter what you do to it... It just sucks... you might as well not even invest in a Holley unit if you are going to try to keep the stock ECU for Transmission control

Powertrain Control Solutions "TCM-2000" (formerly the TCI red box trans controller)
Powertrain Control Solutions "Simple-Shift"
TCI "EZ-TCU"
US Shift "Quick-1"

All Great Stand alone controllers

theres also the option of a Full Manual Valve Body Automatic, or a Manual Transmission

I use the TCM-2000
I also bought one of PCS's Gear Display Gauges so I can see what gear I am in when I put the trans in manual mode with bump up and bump down shift buttons(I pretty much only use this mode when roll racing.. put it manually in the gear I want, nail the throttle, flip it back to auto mode after I mash the throttle)

also... the consideration for the HP vs the Dominator... isnt necessarily for the Transmission controls...

I use a TCI 6x... I owned it before I bought the Dominator...
It requires the PCS Trans Controller to be able to control all 6 gears
a 4l80 controller will still work with it, but it would only have 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th gear

My decision for the Dominator was because I needed more than the 4 inputs and outputs the HP offered... I dont even use the Transmission controls...
I do take my Trans Signals into the Dominator for logging reasons....but thats about it..LOL

For anyone that is looking to run their fans via PWM, both the HP and Dominator can be configured to do that. I used a C6 Corvette fan controller and a C6 fan, but other fans any a solid state relay will also work.

Here is how I did it on my Cougar swap:

I am also using the Dominator ECU to actuate dual DBW throttle bodies.

Engine is a LH8 5.3L with the GM ASA cam and upgraded valves springs, but otherwise stock.
