a few questions about a mailorder tune

a few questions about a mailorder tune i have to line out some sensor isues i'm having, have to swap knock sensors and also put in a new right side heated o2 sensor.
when i get the sensors lined out i'm going to get a mail order tune i think.
i have the aldl cable, and also freescan and a couple other programs for datalogging. what else do i need to be able to upload tunes? i have a nice laptop and i have used freescan already and i also ran a datalog just to test to see if i could do it, and i also got the trouble codes from freescan, all that was pretty simple..
the engine currently in my car is stock, previous owner descreened the mass air, i removed the egr system and also the a.i.r. system, and i have a 2500rpm converter i installed.. i also have a stock mass air that hasnt been descreened in case i need it.. this engine is a 1997lt1 and i swapped it into a 1994 car and using the obd1 computer
also i have a fresh block and forged flat tops, 94 lt1 rods with arp rodbolts and a lt4 hotcam setup, waiting on money to get the rest of the build together..
i'm interested in doing basic tuning but i dont know where to start really, or what i need as far as software for tuning the lt1/obd1 computer.

Since ytou already have data logging software, it makes easier for the tuner to do your car. Find somebody who will take your logs and use them to do the tune. If you save your stock tune and them look at their tune, you'll get an idea of what needs to be done.
