Very basic tuning/scan tool question
Very basic tuning/scan tool question I jumped with both feet into a LS conversion a couple years ago, knowing nothing of the GEN III motors, but through this site and members did a conversion, rewired all myself etc... car runs but still pops codes once in awhile and doesn't run great, but runs good.
Still in the build stage but got transferred overseas, so put on hold. Getting ready to head home and am thinking about getting a tuning tool vice just taking it to a dyno and having them do it.
So, my question, at the point of looking like an idoit.
The difference between the two, EFI Live and HP tuners, basic and suite/pro.
The basic scan will only allow me to view what is going on with the engine/PCM as far as readings that I can use to diagnos what is and isn't right and make adjustments to enigne componets but not PCM settings.
If I get the Suites/tune option with the two mentioned above, I can change PCM settings along with seeing all the "basic" data of the scan tool?
Am I on track here so far.
