SES light/ O2 simulators
I posted this in the newbie section, but I'd like a bit more feedback...
I put an ORY on my car a few months ago. At the time I didn't have OBDII oxygen simulators. As expected, the SES light came on.
Now that I have the O2 sims on, the light is not turning off. Should it or do I need to have a trouble code deleted from my PCM?
Should I reset the PCM?
Is there any relatively simple way to verify a simulator is functioning properly?
Thanks!

you will have to go to a shop that is OBD-2 capable and have them clear the codes for you. otherwise the light will stay on until the computer doesn't see the problem after you cycle the key quite a few times. i htink it's like 30 or 50 times. it's easier and less annoying to just have them cleared.

You don't need to go to a shop though. All you need to do is disconnect your battery.

not necessarily. i am a tech at a GM dealership and while disconnecting the battery will sometimes erase the codes, it does not always work. but it doesn't hurt to try. good luck!

The dealership wants $50 to delete the code. AutoZone: 'We stopped doing that.' I think I'll wait it out or try to find another shop to do it cheaper. Yanking the PCM will be a last resort.
Note to self: In the future have the simulators at the time of ORY install.

Your 02 codes will clear if you disconnect the battery for 20 minutes OR you can go through the pull the fuses process and do it quicker. It doesn't hurt a thing. Just make sure you know your radio code (if you turned the security feature on). I just did it and only had to reset my clock.
Good Luck,
