Default HPP3 question

Will taking the power tune program off of my car help with the knocking? I just put LT's on and it is knocking. Some, maybe all, of it is the y-pipe hitting. My cars exhaust smell a lot different. Will taking the power program off help any of my problems?

i believe the power program is just a more aggresive timing table, so yeah it should. but it isn't that aggresive, maybe your getting crappy gas. you are running the highest octane you can get right ? maybe try a different brand/location. worked at a station when i was younger, you'd be amazed at the difference in fuel quality, particularily when the station is old with metal tanks, they leak and get water in the tanks. don't know enough about your situation to be much help, mabe with the exhaust you're running to lean for the timing curve. easy enough to just pull it out and see.
