Running Rich.. I just got a reprogrammed pcm from Westers Tuning. I have lid,catback, and pullies. Got it tuned for all that new shift points and tq management. Well since I got it put on I checked my air filter and it has like a paint thinner faint gas smell like a auto shop. What does this mean?
Did you ever sniff your air filter before programming?
Could just be evaporative emissions system, or that
last injector shot of gas in the intake, vapor saturating it.
When you're running, the airflow is not going to let it
back out the intake.
Whether this has to do with running rich, you'd have
to find some more direct means of determining.

I have never noticed the smell prior to having the custom tune, because its just started in the last 2 weeks since I have had it. So is this anything that could be bad for performace and get the chip recalibrated? Or what could be the cause?
