Default Difference in pcms from 98-02

Hey guys, looking to get an ls1 powered car soon. Just wondering before i pull the trigger on one, is there any disadvantages to the 98pcm vs the later years? I know the 97gtp i have now has a completely different pcm than 98-03 and it sucks. I don't want to be in the same boat in an fbody.

The 99 is much better (and faster for datalogging) than the 98.
The 2000-02 is better than 99 but just a little, the 99 PCM will work just fine.

You've got a great comparison there. Just like the 97GTP sucks, the 98 fbody is equally (un)desirable. Stick to 99-02.
