Tuning an ASA Spec LS1
I'm looking for a little advise.....
I am installing a '00 LS1, that came out of a ASA Spec roundy round car, into my track car project.
I have the complete engine, harness, and ECU out of the donor car.
If I am not mistaken, the engine is a GM Performance LS1 that is sent to Lingenfelter for some modifications. I don't know who does the ECU tuning, GM or Lingenfelter?
I assume the ECU will be locked.
so..
1. How can I determine if the ECU is locked and is it possible to determine who locked it?
2. If I am not able to unlock it, I assume I can pick up a new ECU and start from scratch. Which ECU should I be looking for?
This option will be a little more complex being that the original engine is not running O2 sensors at all.

#2 You can program over the Calibration with another tune.
