Getting ready to start installing my vortech on the car, and need to get injectors. I want to know what is the largest injector I can go with on a stock ecm. I hear that people start having problems when they hit the 60# injectors. They have surging/ bucking problems at low rpm. Right now it makes 470rwhp. I am changing the exhaust to 2" kooks, 3 1/2 y pipe, 4" catback, lonnie's twin pump fuel system. I am not scared to go with low impedance injector if that will work. Just looking to have enough fuel injector to have a chance at 1000rwhp when the motor blows. Then this get a stroker.

nobody has a had tuning issues running bigger than 60# injectors? I know people that are running 60's and are having drivablity problems. Could it be from the mass air scaling? And has anyone max out a 85mm mass air? If so how much power were you making, and have you changed to a bigger one?

The problem isnt from the ECM. It is the short pulsewidth characteristics of the injector that gives people a hard time. FWIW there is enough info out there now for people to be able to drive an injector properly below 1ms without hacking tables.(If the injector itself can be run that low that is)
Have a look at something like the ID1000 or 2000 injectors.

i just put 80's in a bone stock lq4 with an educated guess of a ve. and got it to idle fairly well right out of the gate and after screwing around got my idle ve within a point or two. granted i have about 100 hours of homework into it and the brfpr doesnt hurt but thanks to guys like ute mnr and frost i wrapped my mind around short pulse width manipulation.
