Default serious tune

I need to put a serious tune on my car........

I have ls1 edit and efi live v5.

1. how do I convert lbs./min. to grams per sec.
I currently have about 25* timing at about 5500rpm, but at 3000rpm I only have 15*

Also when I go wot my ltft don't go to 0 like they used to, why is that?

lbs/min * 453.6g/lb * 60min/s = g/s

If your LTFTs are positive at part throttle you will see added fuel (+LTFTs) at WOT. Scan and look at LTFTs in cells 6-14 - you want them all 0-> -7 %. If not 0 -> -7 then rescale IFR Table.

For example if LTFTs are +8% (average )then you want to ADD more fuel . Scale the entire IFR table by 90% - the PCM will "think" smaller injectors and add 10% more fuel to compensate. Then rescan and watcth the LTFTs values change as the PCM learns/adapts. The PCM should reduce the LTFTs into the -2% range (for example) after a "learning" period. Good Luck.

When you replace the MAF I would put the MAF table back to stock.Adjust the IFR table for LTFTs.
MAF is global in function...fuel, timing etc. IFR is fuel only . My $.02. FWIW.

ya seems to be alot of debate whether to scale the injectors or the maf.....

prior to going bad the cars was parked for about a month. I switched lids and went with an amsoil air filter. took it out the first night. my ltft was about +14 cruising and wot timing was 13*............ before ltft were almost always -2 and timing was about 26*. I have an slp 85mm maf, my car never ran all that great with it and I was always getting a trouble code for low sensor voltage. Gonna switch back to a stock descreened!

I agree completely with binks. IFR table for Ltrim adjustments. Leave the MAF table alone for fuel trim changes, IMO.

Using the IFR table based on binks advice last summer worked GREAT for me.

You very rarely need to adjust the MAF tables unless it's not a stock MAF or you are ussing a power adder.
The IFR and high octain timing tables should be used instead.

slowhawk............ your harlen right

I've tried to get ahold of you in the past. I have one of your stutter boxes and it craped out on me. The car won't run with the box hooked up, one whole bank is misfiring, should I send it back for repair or buy a new one.

thanks.....love the product
