according to my craftsman obd2 reader that shows live data my car is at 19* spark advance at wot.this seems kinda too me. A local shopped loaded what he said was just a basic bolt ons tune onto my computer about 6 months ago.

That seems low to me but what causes it, is a question.
Plenty of spark retard actors that could be punking the
tune, or could be the tune itself. Not much you can do
by speculating though.

WOT commanded in the main sprak table is higher than that stock. Intake air temperature can pull timing. Engine coolant temp can pull timing. Knock sensors can pull timing. And last but not least, the transmission torgue management can pull timing.

So what would my next step be to figuring this out? I was considering a dyno tune so that I will know for sure that my tune won't be a problem.

You need to get someone to log it with scanning software and pull the tune to see what is in each of the timing tables - with that information, it can be determined where the problem is...

Or buy HPTuners and do it yourself.

THen retune yourself over and over and over till your happy with your tune.

Im also running 19* WOT timing but my car is a twin turbo car. I would assume that 19* is more acceptable for a boosted car.
