Got the "Torque" program for my Android phone. A lot of the PID's dont work, and they're saying I need to find the PID list for my car. Ive got pretty much all i need working except Transmission Temp. Any idea on what the PID is for it or is there a list somewhere?

I'm looking for the oil pressure and oil temp for torque app. The torque app is awesome but I really need oil pressure and oil temp. 2000 Vette.

 

Likely not SAE pids which more than likely is all that app supports.

 

What kind of gauge pack does HPT have for a display? Does HPT see these pid's?

you can make a gauge for whatever PID that your vehicle supports...
it can be a round gauge or a bar

 

What about oil temp and oil pressure?

 

Only If your vehicle supports it...
not all vehicles report oil pressure and oil temperature to the pcm.
An fbody doesn't report either of them...
The oil pressure sender is only used by the dash gauge.which is sort of a semi dummy gauge anyways on some years....
No Sae pid reported by the pcm for It.

Little bit of threadomancy here..

The Torque App supports ALL PIDS! in any chart format you can think of.

The problem is that you need the below data to enter them. I don't have any clue how to get this information but did read a thread about routing extra sensors (wide band o2) into the ECM, since this app pulls data from the ECM if you had the PID information for the sensor you could add literally anything you wanted to the torque app and have it displayed.

OBD2 Mode and PID (in hex..eq 01 0D for speed) or empty if (internal_pid) is used in the equation.

Does anyone know if HPTuners list PIDS?

I know it can create new ones for auxillary sensors, it would makes sense that it can list existing ones.

 

I have this app and would like some info on how to read transmission temperature. Free bump in hopes we get some help.

You will have to figure out the scaling yourself though. Range is (-40) to (+419). It's probably the same formula as the ECT.

Once again... it's "1940". It should be preceded by the mode number 22.

i.e. "221940"

 

I'm trying to datalog Oil Pressure with Torque Pro Version 1.8.38 in a 2005 Silverado 5.3L, P59 PCM. I can datalog it using HPTuners but I can't see it in Torque. Using a OBDlink MX in android.
Loaded the GM Prefined set and created a gauge with the Oil Pressure (Engine) PID, it shows NO DATA. The PID is 221470
I tried using the PID number HPT assigns to the Oil Pressure both in dec (2112) and in hex (0840) with no avail. Tried 221470, 222112, 220840, 22840, all got NO RESPONSE

Anybody know the exact PID for this truck?

Did you run Torque Scan? It's a Plugin for Torque that probes every PID location 1-by-1 and lists the ones that give back a response.

If you get the log uploading to the toque web-server, I'd sure like to know how you did that, too.

I've noticed on Torque that once you have a PID working, it lists the PID number and provides the Equation, too.
