Default newb question with hp tuners respitory.

can you just upload a tune from the respitory off hp tuners site and flash it to a current car pcm? or do you have to have credits for both cars
(bolt on car)

If you wanted to use the entire file then yes you would need to license the file and the pcm. Most just compare and copy the differences over to their tune and then you don't need to use more credits.

Bad idea to just slap somebody else's tune in there. How
do you know they were right, and how do you know your
setup isn't different in some detail, or even messed up in
the basics?

At most, you should copy over interesting bets selectively
and with full comprehension.

This is true.

I only use those files to study and compare.
