Yes 97 & 98 don't use a license at all.

using available licenses with efilive Hey everybody.I bought efilive flashscan v1 from a memeber a while back and have just started using it. well there is one available license left on it but it wont let me use it because it says i need an activation key. i can see on the licensing screen that slot two is available and one has been taken up from the previous owner. should i contact efi live for a key or should it just be readily available?
Did it include a disc? I found my key in a text file on the disc.
Also being a 98, do you even need one? Pretty sure EFIlive can tune unlimited 97/98s without burning a license

it did include a disc but for software installation and it wasnt the original disc either.not sure if 97/98s are unlimited. ill try contacting customer support.

thanks for all the replys. if its unlimited than i should be fine. i have a more noligable buddy coming over later tonight maybe he can show what im doing wrong.

Also, you need the registration key from the "blue" card... if you don't have the blue card, goto the EFILive forum and pm/email me the serial number of your V1.
The 98 stream should be enabled, but if it isn't, it can be activated with a code (the 98 stream is included free).

I had my tuner come over last night check out the car for me. we ended up using my efilive and it was able to tune it witout needing the available license. thanks for the responses.
