Default Superchip vs Hypertech III

Is there any difference between the two programers and which one would be best for a 2002 Firehawk?

a used hypertech is the cheapest way to go.

why do you need either?

I would not get the superchips new, as they are not worth the money, unless you can get them custom tuned. (not easily done, or expensive if you can get it done)

Do not buy any hpp3 or suprchips programmer (with stock program) and buy it for the horsepower.

Buy them for gears, fan temps, shiftpoints, rev limiter, ect.

you might get 5-10 hp from it, but many cars don't respond well to the "power tuning"

I never even turned my "power tuning" on when i had my hypertech, i just used it for fan temps.
