Default Is a HPP3 really necessary??

Just wondering... because I have heard of people having trouble with their's and I was just wondering...

I have different gears, and um, maybe a different tire size ....

so is it a must?? or could i set the car back to stock and sell it, or would that kill my car

thanks

If you have gears you need a program change for the speedo to be right and for the ABS light to stay off.So you could take it out,but the ABS light will stay on.

Is it new? Or is it your boyfriends, because they become VIN specific after first use.
If it's for your car, then yes, use it to change your settings. You'll get some performance out of it.

you can return a HPP3 to stock, and use it on another vehicle of the same year/motor. The diablo is like the vin specific like you said, as it can only be used on the first vin, for the life of the unit.

Use the HPP3 to calibrate for those changes, and when you get more mods, put back to stock, and have the comptuer tuned with edit/hptuners/diablo or whatever other method you can find.

Ryan.
