EGR P0405 Poor Performance

Exactly what the title is. Can the EGR P0405 be the cause of exhaust popping, poor car performance, and other issues such as bad gas mileage?

well it could be the cause of the poor gas milage but not so much the poor car performace. The EGR doesnt operate at idle or WOT so you shouldnt see a difference there. I just got around to take my egr and air systems off today. i like it so much better...a lot more room to work around and it looks better

Nope, I actually wound up having the engine rebuilt. Still don't have the car running yet. When I get it all back together I'll let you know if I'm still having the issue.
