No what I am saying is the ignition itself is bad, the key cylinder just engages the contactor, that is about half way down the steering column it is this part that is bad

O'yeah this is the reason why you hear the pcm resetting when you try to crank the car and it just clicks, just go to advanced auto parts or wherever you shop and ask for a ACDelco Ignition and Start Switch (not key switch) this is the part I am talking about on advanced auto parts website
