Question Question on code scanner

Hey, i have a 95 z28 and im trying to pull the codes from it. I know its obd1 with a obd2 plug. I have tried a scanner that they had at sears for $300 that says it can read both, and it still wont read them. It says link error. Am i doing something wrong? Mike

Buy a cable from moates and download freescan.
The cable is $80, freescan is free
You will be able to read DTC's and even change some parameters if you want to (with other program).
